Resistance fighters
A resistance fighter is a person who actively fights against an oppressive or authoritarian regime in order to overthrow or weaken its power. In the context of the Second World War, the term primarily refers to those who opposed Nazi rule in Germany and Nazi-occupied territories.
Resistance fighters organised sabotage, disseminated forbidden information, assisted persecuted people and tried to fight the Nazi regime through various forms of resistance. These people risked their lives to oppose the violence and oppression of the Nazi dictatorship.
